This home is nested on the main channel of Cherokee Lake with breathtaking views. What was once an unfinished basement is now a fabulous family hang out. Challenges - created a grid of beams to camouflage the "uglies" AKA support beams and new ductwork and position a windowless, interior guest bedroom with a lake view. By using custom pocket doors made with 2 way mirror the guests relax with a lake view and privacy. Blocking was used in the pocket door walls to keep the doors from fully opening allowing the use of the pretty crystal door knobs rather than the typical pocket door hardware. The unique basement kitchen doubles as an art studio for children with plenty of room for laptops, large drawing pads, and oversized drawers for art storage.
